The Diane K. Troyer Garden, named after the college’s president, donates its produce regularly to Cypress Assistance Ministries and Bear Creek Assistance Ministries. The garden is dedicated to promoting partnerships, service and education. Volunteers from the community, college staff and students all help maintain the garden. Special projects are ongoing with community groups and service learning projects. Although work in the garden is a daily task, volunteers meet weekly at 9 a.m. on Saturdays in the garden, which is located west of the college library. For more information on becoming a volunteer, contact Rob Coyle at 832-782-5114 or email robert.a.coyle@lonestar.edu .
