To take honors courses, students need to apply for the Honors Program. To apply to the program, students must submit an application and one reference. Minimum criteria for first time students are one of the following:
§ Top 10% of your high school graduation class or a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
§ 1100 or higher on the SAT or 26 or higher combined score on the ACT
§ Compass score of 235 or higher
Minimum criteria for students already in college:
§ GPA of 3.25 or higher
Students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 to remain in the Honors Program. They must take at least one and no more than two honors courses each academic year.
