ENGL - The prerequisite for Technical Communication (English 2311) requires English 1301 and second year standing. What does this mean?

Article Body

The requirement used to be that students must have completed both English 1301 and 1302 in order to take Technical Communication. However, English 1302 is no longer a requirement for taking Technical Communication. Instead, students are required to have second year standing.

Second year standing means that students must be at sophomore status (based on the number of credits they have completed thus far in their college career.) The goal is to ensure that students have had enough college writing experience to be prepared for the writing in Technical Communication.
