Advisory Group to the Office of College Relations created to generate awareness among students about LSC-CyFair's marketing and recruitment initiatives.
- Help create and define the College message and collect information regarding marketing and recruitment initiatives.
- Assist in the development of our enrollment and recruitment plan.
- Collect feedback from students on marketing initiatives through focus groups.
- Assist with special events to generate and encourage greater student participation.
- Diverse mix of 10 students from all academic disciplines.
- $150 scholarship per student per semester.
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 overall academic grade point average.
- Ability to adhere to the attendance and participation requirements.
- Uphold the highest standards of personal conduct at all times (i.e., professor-student relationships, classroom behavior and attendance at meetings).
- Members are required to attend 1-2 one hour meetings per month. Meetings will be held on Fridays. Orientation attendance is mandatory.
- Mandatory participation in Cy-Fest, our community event held in the fall (October 11th, 2008).
- Mandatory participation in at least two college preview days.
- Ability to write blogs, monitor and respond to comments and post bulletins. Must be familiar with social networking web sites such as MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, Flicker, Twitter, Delicious, etc.
- Must attend at least two productions in the Center for the Arts and write reviews (tickets will be provided).
- Must be reachable via email, must be responsive to email.
- Participate in and lead marketing surveys and student focus groups.
