The Transitional Studies unit is a fully integrated model that includes the disciplines of transitional math, transitional reading, transitional writing, and English for Speakres of Other Languages (ESOL).
The program is a system of integrated services and courses designed to prepare students for college work and enhance their opportunity for success in academic programs. It provides students with the resources necessary to build a solid foundation as they make the transition from pre-college level classes to college level work.
The unique feature of the design of the Transitional Studies Program is the close coordination of tutoring, counseling, and support services with the courses designed to support student skill development.

Community Learning Center (CCA)Lone Star College–CyFair is one of many locations throughout Houston that serve as a center for The Tecnologico de Monterrey’s comprehensive online computer technology programs in Spanish.
GEDFor students interested in receiving their GED (General Educational Development) certificate which is accepted as equivalent to a high school diploma.
The Great Center
The purpose of this program is to provide the operation of professional development programs to improve the quality of instruction provided pursuant to local activities required under Title II, Workforce Investment Act.
Literacy ESOLOur library offers classes and study aides to improve literacy for students whose first lanuguage isn't English.

Transitional English is designed to improve and enhance the English skills of college students.
Language Laboratories
Open to students and faculty in ASL, Interpreter Training, ESOL & world languages, Lone Star College–CyFair's Language Laboratories promote the benefits of learning other languages and facilitate the teaching, acquisition, and maintenance of foreign language skills through the exploitation of technology specific to language teaching and learning.
Library
Located in the Learning Commons building, the Lone Star College–CyFair Library is a partner and branch of the Harris County Public Library System.
Tutoring Program
Lone Star College–CyFair provides study support to students and the community at no charge.
