The DBA and security team is responsible for installing all patches and new releases of Colleague, maintaining all Colleague application and account level security, maintaining data integrity, performing data recovery, maintaining the account structure and development environment for the Colleague development team and evaluating and installing external interfaces to Colleague. In addition, the team insures that the Colleague database is kept tuned for peak performance and works closely with the Unix System administrator to insure that disaster recovery measures are in place.
